The Oklahoma City Thunder stole Game 5 in San Antonio on Tuesday to put the Spurs on the brink of elimination, but the NBA's Last Two Minute Report has confirmed that OKC got some inadvertent help from the officials.
The league's daily report states that the only two incorrect calls in the final two minutes of Game 5 were in favor of the Thunder.
With 54.7 seconds remaining, Danny Green should not have been called for a shooting foul on Kevin Durant, as Thunder big man Steven Adams actually caused Green to fall into Durant, who made both ensuing free throws.
With 8.7 seconds remaining and the Thunder down one, the league confirmed that Kawhi Leonard should have been assessed a foul to put Russell Westbrook on the free-throw line, which is what the Spurs were intending to do. Instead, no foul was called on Leonard, and Westbrook converted an and-one seconds later that cost San Antonio an extra point.
In total, the incorrect calls cost the Spurs at least three points in their 95-91 loss.
